The definition of a grade is a way of rating the quality, worth, rank or order of things or how well someone performed.
Grades benefit education in best possible interest of a student and his or her learning ability.
Formula to calculate grade.
For a grade to be computed, your scores from the other part of your course work which include assignments are put together.
To calculate your grade, multiply the decimal version of the weighting by the score for that assignment, then add up all of the final results.
Example:
Suppose you scored 80% in an assignment that accounts for 30% of your final grade and when you did your final exam that accounts for 70%, you scored 90%. Calculate your grade.
Assignments.
0.8 x 30 = 24
Final exam.
0.9 x 70 = 63
63 + 24 = 87
Therefore, your grade is 87%.
