A degree(°) is a unit of measurement that is used to measure angles, and also longitude and latitude.
The radian(rad) is the SI derived unit for measuring angles, and is the standard unit of angular measure used in many areas of mathematics.
Formula to convert radians to degrees.
To convert degrees to rad we multiply the degrees by 180° out of π . We do this because of the fact that a full circle is 360 ° and which can also be written as also 2π radians. And we know that the value of pi here is 180°.
θ is the angle in radians.
Example:
Convert 2radians to degrees.
= 2 x ( 180 ÷ π )
= 114.6°
