Quarts are units of capacity.
There are three kinds of quarts currently used: the liquid quart and dry quart of the US customary system and the imperial quart of the British imperial system. All are roughly equal to one liter.
A pint(pt) is also a unit of liquid or dry capacity equal to one eighth of a gallon.
Formula to convert quarts to pints.
To convert qt to pt, we need to know the conversion factor.
We know that 1 US liquid quart is equivalent to 2 US liquid pints.
Therefore, to convert US liquid qt to US liquid pints we multiply the qt by 2.
Capacity in pt = Capacity in qt x 2
Example:
Convert 25 quarts to pints.
= 25 x 2
= 50 pints.
