A trapezoid or a trapezium is a convex quadrilateral with a pair of opposite sides that are parallel to each other.

Formula to calculate area of a trapezoid:

The area of a trapezoid is calculated by getting the sum of the length of the parallel sides ‘a’ and ‘b’ , then divide the sum and multiply the result by 2.
