What is Density?
Density is the ratio of an object’s mass to volume. Density is a calculated value and not a measured value.
How to Calculate Density:
Mass is the quantity of matter. (SI Unit of mass is Kg)
Volume is the amount of space something occupies. (SI unit is m 3 )
Example
A block of wood weighs 5 Kg and has a volume of 0.5 m 3 . What is the density of the of wood.
