We can define pressure as a force applied perpendicularly over a surface of an object. This force is then distributed over the unit area. Pressure is often expressed in units of Pascals (Pa).
Formula to calculate pressure.
We calculate pressure by dividing the force by area.
Example:
What pressure would be applied by a body that exerts a force of 100N on the table whose area is 15m².
The pressure applied by the body on the table is 6.67 Pa.
