A tank is a large container for holding liquid or gas. Oftenly tanks have a circular base making it a good example of a cylindrical object.
Formula to calculate the volume of a tank.
Since we have already established that a tank is a cylindrical object, we are going to use the formula to calculate the volume of a cylinder to find the volume of the tank.
Example:
Calculate the volume of a tank whose height is 4m and its radius is 1.5 m.
Therefore the volume of the tank is 28.28 m3.
